As we are located in Germany our prices are stated in Euro. Choosing another currency will display prices to the daily updated exchange rates (European Central Bank). But only our Euro prices are binding. We recommend PayPal or CreditCard payment to complete your transaction also in your primary currency. They will accept and automatically convert it.
Are all your products factory-fresh?
As an authorized dealer, all our products come factory fresh from official suppliers unless otherwise indicated. As a special service to our customers, we check and adjust every single instrument in our workshop free of charge! Of course you also have a two year manufacturer warranty.
Can I order free of German value added tax (VAT) / sales tax?
Delivery to Switzerland is zero-rated for VAT. Our online store already factors that in once you've chosen Switzerland as your delivery country and automatically excludes the current German VAT (16%). This creates a great financial advantage to our many Swiss customers -especially for high-priced products- when compared to our customers in Germany and Europe. For your convenience, you can generate a VAT free purchase quote. Just make sure you manually set “Switzerland” as your delivery country.
Do I have to pay import duties / additional sales tax (VAT) to Switzerland?
For Switzerland customs duties for imported goods apply. Of course, shipments (total invoice) to Switzerland are free of the 16% German VAT tax, a great financial advantage for Swiss customers -especially for high-priced products- when compared to our German and European customers. Shipment and customs declarations are handled by DHL. If there appears to be any additional customs duty, you conveniently pay when you receive the goods without any need for additional contact with Swiss Customs. Just like ordering from your favorite online store in Switzerland, our online shop creates a seamless and effortless experience. It couldn't be more convenient.
Import duties to Switzerland are very low. Basis for the calculation is the shipping weight of the package. Each kilo costs 2, - CHF. You will find the weight of your desired product in each product description by clicking the truck icon tab.

All shippings are fully covered by a transportation insurance! We have a lot of experience in sending instruments and amplifiers for many years. So don't worry. Even if you order a guitar without a case it will be packed well-padded into strong card-boards. Additionally all deliveries are fully covered by shipping insurance.
What are the fees for the insured shipping and handling to Switzerland?
Our system automatically calculates the actual shipping costs for each article. They are displayed in the product descriptions and also during the ordering process.

How long does shipping take to Switzerland?
We prefer the international DHL PREMIUM service for all deliveries to Switzerland. They deliver our products directly to your door. The usually delivery time from Germany to Switzerland is up to 4 business days.

If upon receiving the item, you are unsatisfied with it, you can -of course- immediately send it back to us. This is part of our extended 30 days sale or return policy (money-back-guarantee). It starts right when you receive the article. As soon as we receive the returned item, we will forward the full amount of your shipping invoice to your account.
Am I liable for return shipping fees?
If you make use of the extended 30 days sale and return policy because you dislike the product, you will have to cover the returning fees yourself. In case of complaints or returns that are due to problems or misunderstandings on the side of leihinstrumente.com, we will cover the return postage during the first 30 days. Please contact us in advance. In most cases it's not possible to send the parcel free of charge, but we will credit you for the shipping cost. Please note that we can't cover the cost of express or courier services, only normal economy shipping. Please note that items must be returned in their original paper or cardboard packaging.
There is a two-year manufacturer's warranty from the day of purchase on all articles we offer. This warranty applies to faults on the manufacturer's side. If you experience problems with the article within these two years, please get in touch with us contact >>. We will then organize pickup free of charge. In case the article is beyond repair it will be replaced by an item of equal value. Please note that expendable parts such as strings, bow hair or batteries are not included in this warranty. Signs of wear are covered only if clearly due to manufacturing errors and if the item was used and cared for according to the manual we include with each product.
